Go-Green Recycling was formed and commenced operations in 2001. Go-Green Recycling has performed environmental remediation and recovered scrap metals on contracted sites in Ohio and West Virginia. In 2015, Go-Green Recycling acquired the former R.G. Steel 600-acre site located in Follansbee, West Virginia, and quickly took advantage of the available scrap metal at the location and created an instant profit-driven business.  EGGR has noted customers to include U.S. Steel, Severstal, and R.G. Steel Corp. In 2020, 

Go-Green Recycling was acquired by Empire Diversified Energy and became Empire Go-Green Recycling (EGGR). Operating out of the Riverfront Eco-Industrial Complex, EGGR is responsible for human resources for the complex, continued recycling of slag and scrap on-site, and maintaining all Empire Heavy Machinery.
